ORIENTAL M G Expects Full-Year Consolidated Profit to Drop to Up to $14M
ORIENTAL M G (00018.HK) issued a profit warning, expecting to record a consolidated profit of approximately HK$13-14 million for the year ended 31 March 2026, while the consolidated profit is approximately HK$52.434 million for the year ended 31 March 2025.
The Board considered that the expected decrease in the consolidated profit is mainly due to a decrease of the Group’s revenue from its media and money lending businesses resulting from the unfavorable macro-economic situation; a net fair value loss of approximately HK$9.374 million on investment properties held by the Group at the end of the Reporting Period; and a provision for loss allowance of approximately HK$3.52 million for expected credit losses on loans and interest receivables taking into account the settlement arrangements of certain loans in response to the decrease in collateral value.
